I am 54 this year and have had Type 1 diabetes since the age of 19. I tried not to let it run my life when I was younger and at that time there were no cool websites, hell there wasn't even any computers or diet drinks or sugar free products. I didn't even know what Diabetes was so I asked my Doctor how long I had to live. Well the first 20 years wasn't too bad but I can tell you now I am living to regret my non-acceptance...
