About me:
|
April 2003 went to emergency room in pain. Apparently I went into respiratory failure, was on a ventilator for 3 weeks, I spent the next 3 months in several hospitals with Pancreatits and fighting for my life. I went home with drain tubes, 24 hour TPN (food tube) and IV every 6 hours for a year. Now, I have 7% pancreas remaining and am now a diabetic. They rewired my pancreas to drain through my stomach and removed my spleen. I am on a pump and it feels like Russian Roulette when sometimes my pancreas does decide to work. I am grateful for everyday and keep working with the tools I have to remain here with my family (husband and four kids) and live a good life for as long as I can.
