Metformin may cause gastric upset, especially is you are taking a larger dose all of a sudden. It can also make you toot a lot. These side effects don't happen to everyone, however.

my stomach has only just settled down after a year on metformin. It can be quite embarrasing sometimes!!

2 years on metformin and still stomach problems......so embarrasing.....help help help!!

I could never get used to it... now I take insulin... there are no side effects of this for me.
