I am 37 yrs old, was 20 when I found out I had diabetes. It has been an uphill battle. Still unsure if I am winning or not. At 25 I found out I was single and pregnant with an A1C of 12, my son who is now 11 was born with little complications. Emergency c-section..lost the heartbeat. But all is well. Stress seems to play a major factor in my blood sugars. I have A LOT of stress. (: I really dont know anyone my age with diabetes. I call it my silent disease, I try to pretend I am normal and dont really talk about it with anyone. That is what I am hoping to get from this site....more awareness.
