1892 Evergreen Road

Hey all I'm excited to be here and talk to other diabetics like myself. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when I was 20. I am now 28 and its been an up and down road, but I think its all been worth it. I believe without a doubt that there is a God given reason I have this disease and my goal is to help others with it as well as help find a cure. I am married to a wonderful man and have two beautiful children who are always right by my side through the good and bad of diabetes. They are reason enough to wake up with a smile everyday and do everything in my power to stay healthy, strong, and active! I'm a stay at home mom as well as a songwriter. I'm currently in the process of moving to Nashville and I'm very excited about tackling this writing dream of mine head on. Writing is my therapy, its the details of whats in my heart, and I love to wake up everyday and try to write the best songs I can. My other goal and dream is to have a benefit concert once I'm in Nashville to help raise money for JDRF. I want to do all I can to help find a cure!! I'm also in the process of working towards being certified in fitness and nutrition. I believe it will not only help me to be healthier, but I'm hoping it will help me to help others get healthier as well!!! Well enough about me, I'm just blabbing now!!! :))) I look forward to meeting all of you and if there is anything I can do...be it just someone to talk to about diabetes or be of any help whatsoever, please let me know.
