I was diagnosed with an 8 on my AlC. I felt like my body had turned against me. But my wife and doctor reminded me that my body could become the best medical tool available with diet, exercise and weight control being vital. I started on metformin, tricor and something else. A friend let me know that he had put his diabetes into remission. I determnined to do the same. I have used diet, exercise and weight control to keep my ALC sub 6 for 2 years. This summer I particpated in an cycling event called Race Across America with 7 other Type 2's. We hope to spread the word about successful living with Diabetes. The team and our goals can be viewed at teamtype1.org. This is a great site for inspiration and information. My goal is to help others in some way.
