Hello all!

I am so happy to be a part of this community.  I'll give you a brief background on myself.  I am a mother of a type 1 diabetic, Jake, who was diagnosed 10/1/2003.  He is currently 14 years old now and although he's been adapting pretty well, can still manage to put a clump of grays into my newly colored hair!  I have been through many ups and downs with his diabetes and now I can look forward to a million more.  I love getting support from other diabetics as it can give me a different approach as to how I can deal with my son.  You can also visit me at www.mydiabeticteen.blogspot.com.
