Time to test... set up meter, and prick finger apply blood to strip wait 5 seconds, and read E9... damn, not enough blood. Throw out strip, start again apply blood to strip, wait 5 seconds oooooh hell 22.4 mmol/l // 403 mg/dl stare at screen in disbelief wash hands, start again apply blood to strip, wait 5 seconds. 22.6 mmol/l // 407 mg/dl accept first result as correct curse, and bolus stab finger with needle because you are peeved you are so high curse decide to test ketones skull a glass of water on the way to the toilet pee on strip damn... moderate curse again. Flush toilet, and wash hands. Drink more water. Sit down, and try to work out what you could have done to get so high Curse again. Drink more water. Snap and snarl at anyone who speaks to you. Get over emotional and cry. Drink more water Pee again. Re-test prick finger, waste another strip. Curse again. 15.2 // 274 Grab another glass of water... And go to bed.
