My Diabetic Poem

How many people can sweat like this On even the coldest of days? How many people can shake so fine And look so very dazed? How many people use jelly beans and soda as medication? How many people daily bang their head in wonder and frustration? I do... I do... I do, cuz I have the Diabetes blues How many people can make themselves bleed With minimal, almost no pain? How many (legally) jab themselves Again and again and again? How many people know that endos All talk out of their hats? How many people wanna kick some butt When they hear "can you eat that?!" I do... I do... I do, cuz I have the Diabetes blues.
I am normally very patient Innocent, sweet and kind But all this crazy D stuff Might make me lose my mind...
Now... How many people have jacket's like this, Arms crossed, and secured behind? How many people get pats on the head and told "I'm SURE you're fine"? How many people get a room like this, A luxurious padded cell? How many people claim ONE high number Sent them mad as hell??
I do... I do... I do, cuz I have the Diabetes blues.
